OK, hi. I’m still alive.

October 23, 2007

I finished. I lived. I ran 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 49 minutes, which is significantly slower than I had hoped, but the fact that I even lived through it is good enough for me. Because maybe you haven’t been to San Francisco, but it’s nothing but hills.

Lots of them.

The weekend, for the most part, was amazing. San Francisco is so beautiful. I’d go back in a heartbeat. I have lots and lots (and lots) of stories to tell, including the part where our godforsaken taxi cab T-boned a Red Cross van in the middle of a ginormous intersection in downtown San Francisco, but I will break my weekend into several posts. Makes for easier reading, and I’m all about making life easier for you people. Obviously.

I will also incorporate the dozens of photos I took along the way once they’re uploaded, including photos of the blister I earned that was the size of a silver-goddamn-dollar. Also including photos I took along my 26.2-mile trek through San Francisco. Because, yes, I have my priorities straight. Run fast or stop and take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific coast?

Exactly.

But for now, hi. I am alive. And I will share my stories very soon.

Seriously – your cab T-boned a Red Cross Van. I would have taken that as a sign.

I’m so glad you accomplished the 2nd Marathon & did it without injury. YEA!! You rock!!

SF is beautiful, I spent my honeymoon there and then drove all the way down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Diego. Carmel was my favorite.

    Dear Krista,

I’d rather be sitting talking to you about your wonderful weekend excursion to SF, but I’m sitting in a jury trial. Boo.

    Sincerely,
    Badgergirl
