How to give me nightmares.

July 1, 2008

My mom sent me a forward the other day. The subject line was “FWD: animal pics” so I knew it’d be chock full of slap-happy animals, like baby ducks and kittens, and an unnecessary amount of exclamation points, perhaps a cute friendship quote at the end.

That’s how forwards generally work.

So, sure enough, I opened it up, said “aww” in the appropriate places, until I scrolled down and saw THESE:

Are you kidding me? Really? Because if I ever came across either such scene, I’d have a damn heart attack, and simultaneously puke blood and die.

I have goosebumps just looking at these.

The butterflies don’t bother me, but the other one does….a lot. I could makes some really funny “Deer in the headlight” crack, but frankly those things look like they are ready to beat me down with their little tiny hooves.

Dude, after yesterday afternoon’s near-deer attack, you couldn’t have picked a more appropriate time to put up that picture of the pissed off legion of deer! That’s exactly what the deer looked like yesterday when it almost caused someone to have to write a deerly departed obit for me.

Shudder. I don’t have a particular distaste – or paralyzing fear – of either such specimen, but even I’m disturbed by these.

The deer look something out of a horror movie. Or maybe a high school nature movie… WHEN DEER ATTACK. Something like that.

    I like the butterflies though.

I think both pictures are examples of nature at it’s finest. I don’t find the deer scary in the least and the butterflies are beautiful. How can the deer hurt you? I don’t see any horns..just some does out for a midnight snack.

The butterflies are pretty, I will give you that, but I would go nowhere near that tree.

And yes, a midnight snack. Midnight snack = my flesh.

They’re just… creepy. Like that scene in The Ring.

Those deer look like they are ready to jump right into your bad dream. What’s with the look on their face. Scary!
